About Ayurveda
"Ayur" - life, "Veda" - Science
Ayurveda - the science of living life fully. Originating in India over 5000 years ago, Ayurveda is an ancient and profound science that allows individuals to discover balance. The strength of Ayurveda lies in its embracing the individual constitution of every person, instead of relying on a one-size fits all approach. In this process a person becomes empowered to begin looking at their environment and connecting it to how they may be feeling physically or mentally. One uses this growing understanding of Ayurveda to bring in qualities that foster and maintain balance while moving away from and limiting those that dont. Balance can be felt in the body through fewer occurrences of allergies, congestion, colds, or other illness coupled with greater energy, mental clarity, alertness, ease and happiness in life. By understanding what this balance feels like we are able to transition towards a greater place of ease and away from dis-ease as we move through life.
SERVICES
Ayurvedic Health Consultations
Initial Consultations
Initial Consultations are 60-120 minutes in length. Before the consultation you will be asked to fill out an in depth health and life history form. During your time together she will try to gain a better picture of your overall lifestyle and how it is interacting with your particular constitution. Together you will explore the current state of your body, wellness concerns, diet, and other areas depending on your individual needs. Following your consultation, she will compile and email you an individualized packet of Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle materials to help you address your concerns, and schedule a brief phone call to discuss any additional questions. This information often includes education about your constitution, yoga asana, breath work, meditation techniques, the application of spices and oils, food recipes, and lifestyle guidelines. Her goal is to empower you to begin addressing your health care concerns through diet and lifestyle.
Initial appointments are ~ 60-90 minutes.
Sliding scale: $80 - $120 (including 15 minutes of follow-up conversation).
Follow-up consultations

You will then explore more in depth together what is going in you with you and help you add to or refine your diet and lifestyle practices to find even greater balance. If applicable, this may again include a follow-up email with additional information around different diet and lifestyle remedies.
Follow-up appointments are ~ 1 hour in length.
